Anyone capable of discussing gas without politics? Anyone?

For some reason gas prices at the stations near where I live (about 10 miles from the attractions area, but still a ton of vacation rental homes) went up about 2 weeks ago to the $2.60 range while the stations in the attractions area have all gone down slightly and are now sitting around $2.25 (well, minus the few stations that always price about $.50-1.00 higher). So weird, since the two stations in my residential area were usually within $.05+/- of the attractions area since we moved here in May.

Yesterday Shell was $2.39. Today it's $2.89.

At this point I'm numb to the wild swings and don't care. I just check this thread to make sure it's not just the one gas station I pass every day on my way to and from work making up random prices every morning.
