Gasoline up 100% under Obama

According to the GasBuddy gasoline price tracking web site, the price of a gallon of regular gas was around $1.79 when Mr. Obama took office. Today the national average is $3.58.

Apparently, Obama's "oil buddies" have more influence than the one's attributed to Bush when gas was a mere $2/gallon.

If this keeps up gasoline will end up costing as much as bottled water.

Meanwhile, we're turning our government over to people who refuse to drill for oil, tax the [Mark May] out of gasoline, block construction of refineries and nuclear power plants, and see "windfall profits" taxes on oil companies as a solution to high gas prices. :roll2:

If you think prices are high NOW...you ain't seen nuthin' yet.

Was flipping through this thread and saw this. Gas was around $2 in '04 when the thread started and was up to $4 in '08 when Jake posted this. Now it's under $3.

Please explain.
