Anyone ever order trees through the arbor day foundation???

gregorylee

I'd rather be napping!!
If so what were your feelings? The prices are reasonable, and I understand that the trees will only be one to two ft tall, but how did it turn out for those of you that already have? The reason I ask is I ordered a pair of Buckeye trees this past weekend for my two boys.

Yes

I get the small ones every year that come with the membership and I have ordered some bald cypress trees.

Life expectancy depends on a couple of things. How quickly you get them in the ground, how good the ground is and weather conditions. I will plant them in big plastic pots the first year and transplant the second year. Our weather here varies from hurricane wetness to drought and I have some nasty clay soil. I am happy to get a 50% survival rate.

There used to be a big nursery up in Ohio, starts with an M?, I bought my privet hedges from. Those babies are still growing.
