New Army of Two game comes out in a few weeks. The first one was okay, I wasn't immediately a big fan. It grew on me over time, it's a really good game to sit down a play with a buddy. There seems to be fewer and fewer good split screen games these days, most of them just do multiplayer online only.

Heres a trailer for the new game, the Devil's Cartel:

Lots of actual gameplay:

Like the previous games, it's built from the ground up as a co-op. You can play it single player with the CPU taking your partner, but it's not quite as fun. They still have an aggro meter it looks like, which lets you or your partner get the enemies attention while the other flanks the opposition. In a lot of co-op games if your partner is a dead fish it won't really matter as you can pull their weight, but typically in the Army of Two games both players have to work together or you won't complete a level.

One of my favorite parts about these games is the weapon selection. As you acquire currency through your actions you can buy different weapons and then upgrade parts, like dropping some cash on a 120 round drum for an AK-47. You can also change things like the stock for less recoil/more stability, add laser sights, a grenade launcher or shotgun mount on the front, whatever. Lots of custom stuff you can toy with, and it's kinda fun just making decisions on what upgrades you pass on, or what guns you can afford to buy now and what has to wait. It allows each player to roll with what they prefer. Your buddy can handle an AA12 automatic shotgun and draw the enemies attention up front while you sneak behind the NPCs and take them out with a TDV .45 SMG.

The new trailer seems to show that the environments are very destructible, which is a change from the previous games. In the past you could hide behind cover all day and pop out for shots, but now it looks like walls, furniture, barrels, signs, nothing can keep you safe indefinitely. Anyway, game is looking pretty good, I think it'll be worth checking out.
