About a year and a half ago, I purchased a Sony KDL-XBR2 40" television. I absolutely love it and have no complaints. Watching football in the fall has been incredible.
Now, for Valentine's Day, my awesome girlfriend told me she'd like to buy me a surround sound audio system to go with the TV. I'm really excited, but I'm not sure which way to go.
I noticed just from walking around Best Buy that many packaged home theater systems come as a DVD player and the 5 speakers and subwoofer. I really don't need another DVD player, but is there a benefit to one of these systems?
I run HDMI from my DVR box to my TV. How does the audio then get connected?
Any great suggestions? I'm probably looking in the $250-$400 range.
Thanks!
