I've watched a few episodes of this program on the History Channel that reviews ancient battles. Today, they had one on about the battle of Marathon. During the program, one of the historians commented on the relationship between Athens and Sparta. He described it as, "Ohio State and Michigan, only they used spears".

Correction, they were against the Athens' Sisters of the Poor and the Northwest-Central Sparta Military Academy.
