I have a friend from college who had a middle initial. "T"...no name attached to it, just T: Kristopher T Xxxxxxx.

He said his parents didn't like middle names, but didn't want him without at least a middle initial. :)

If the Squiggly's were to have children, a boy would be named "Daniel Dale" and a girl would be named "Macy Virginia". All four of those are family names, with Daniel and Virginia being from my family and Dale and Macy being from hers.

However, we have no children and aren't really planning to at this point. We do have three cats:

Puss (aka Puskat, aka P. Kitty) - real original, eh?
Amelie (aka Bee, or as my niece cals her "The Bee") - named after the main character from the movie of the same name
Cat Stevens (aka Steve or "The Steve") - we really like Cat Stevens and it seemed appropriate. :p

Both my sisters are without middle names--that's how both my parents' families did it for girls, so their maiden names eventually became their sole middle names--but they hated it, said they were the only ones in school besides foreign kids without middle names. So my one sister gave herself the middle name "Ann", which turned out to cause a problem when she input her made-up middle initial on standardized tests... :ohwell:
