Baldur's Gate III in the works?

The thought of a BGIII doesn't excite me like it did 10 years ago.

For one, since WotC did the 4E reboot and pushed the Forgotten Realms lore 100 years into the future I've lost faith in the D&D brand.

For two, they don't make game engines like they used to. Much of the charm of the BG and NWN series (like the first two Fallout games) was the 3/4 isometric view. I really long for the days of turn based and tactical RPGs. Everything today is eye-candy for graphics whores and twitch-shooter inspired button mashing. Even WoW has devolved to spamming just three of twenty-five possible attacks in a rotation of cool-downs.

Whenever I get the itch for the old stuff, I load up NWN and look for an online module. There is so much user created content now that it'd be impossible for one person to play it all in their lifetime. That or I fire up a game of Warlords 2 Deluxe in DOSbox.
