The 2006 NC game was on Jan 8th (my birthday)...the 2007 NC game was on Jan 7th. Neither one of us has had luck in that regard... :smash:

Just posted this as my FaceBook status:

I was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, which is a strong Catholic town with two powerhouse Catholic high schools (Ursuline and Cardinal Mooney), and thus Notre Dame has a strong influence in the area. As a child, I was exposed to--and was very familiar with--Notre Dame football well before I even became an Ohio State fan (I knew about Ara Parseghian before I even heard of Woody Hayes). Every Sunday morning during college football season I watched highlights of Notre Dame's game from the day before, and so knew the names of every main player of the team. I knew Notre Dame's fight song by heart before I ever heard Ohio State's for the first time. I have many friends--both back home and here--who are strong Notre Dame fans. That all said...

"Roll Tide"...

Love it.

Probably because you could be talking about me, too.

Roll Tide.

I'd like to see the SEC streak end, but don't want it to be the Domers that end it.......but can't really help myself in cheering for Te'o after the year he's been through with losing his grandmother & girlfriend.

Either way, I'm expecting a 17-13 or 13-10 type of game. Guess I'll take the Domers :sick1:

So I'm leaving work today and our receptionist clears her throat to get my attention. Next thing I know I'm hearing how "we" are going to win tonight and some crack about the Buckeyes not being there, etc..

Had to think for a moment then I remembered seeing her short, fat, bald loser husband wearing a shitty looking ND hat.

Yeah, Roll Tide...

This is a tough call, but for me it comes down to the fact that I don't really want to deal with another year of hillbillies and ESPN half-wits claiming SEC superiority and a streak of wins for their conference in the NC game. Even if ND lucks into a win tonight, there's no way they'll be playing for a NC again next year...and if they are, THEN I'll cheer for their opponent (even if an SEC team) to stop their streak.

Fuck both of these teams. Really.

Bama has more talent - there is absolutely no reason they shouldn't be undefeated themselves. It shows a lack of discipline that they were even in a game against LSU and beaten by aTm.

Ntre Ame has literally lived on luck all year. in 2002, that was unique, but at least the 2002 team had a defense full of future NFLers. Ntre Ame doesn't.

Besides, I want Urban Meyer and THE Ohio State University Buckeyes to be the team that ends the SEC string and brings the crystal football back into the light.
