BELLAIRE
"Big Reds"

Congrats to my Bellaire Big Reds for going 10-0 for only the 4th time in their history! They beat arch rival Martins Ferry 35-0! Great defense to go with a passing game led by All Ohio QB Nate Davis! #1 ranking gets them home field advantage which is huge! Defense pitched 5 shut outs, I believe! Nate Davis broke the OVAC career TD record ! The Martins Ferry game was the 100th in the series, one of the oldest in Ohio! Good luck Big Reds and bring home a state championship!

Big Reds beat Bishop Hartley, 37-14. Nate Davis continues to impress. Davis is just 16 yards short of the 7000 yard mark. No one in the OVAC has ever thrown for 7000 yards. Bellaire's defense caused 7 turn overs, one pick went for a TD. Hartley was a physically bigger team. Hartley runs the no-huddle . Game got chippy , fast. Nate Davis's brother Jose, was banned from the sidelines quickly. Bellaire to play perennial power Ironton.

Did you see the play in the 4th quarter where they took a shot at Nate? Play was well away from him, he was standin there basically, just watchin down field, and one of the Hartley kids drilled him. Cheap bastard. Shoulda thrown that kid off the team.

Bellaire fell tonight, 20-13. Mooney's D really showed up and basically all but shut down Bellaire's incredible offense. Think they had less than 100 yards passing. Good season, just a shame to see the Big Reds fall short yet again.

Continuing to represent for the Valley

Noticed we ended up with a Bellaire discussion over on the Steuby thread. If somebody would be so kind as to move that over here?

Saw Bellaire at Park, first game of the year. I was thinking to myself "well, Park isnt too bad this year, but Bellaire really looks down." They have improved so much it's ridiculous. Talk about a coaching staff.
