The Big 10 Tournament is underway in Minneapolis as hosted by the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Ohio State, as the 2nd seed, enjoyed a bye for the first round.

MINNEAPOLIS- Penn Statestruck first, but Michigan celebrated last, as the Wolverines won today’s second game of the Big Ten Tournament, 7-2. The Wolverines advance in the winner’s bracket to face No. 2 seed OhioState, tomorrow at 3:35 p.m. CDT.
Reliever Derek Feldkamp (6-5) got the win for the Wolverines. Feldkamp pitched three-and-a-third innings in relief, allowing just two hits and no runs. Starting pitchers Paul Hammond of Michiganand Sean Stidfole did not factor in the final decision. Josh Palm took the loss for the Lions.
MINNEAPOLIS- Game one of the Big Ten Tournament started out as a pitcher’s dual, but turned in to a slugfest in the final innings of the game, with each team traded grand slams. In the end, Purdue held on (vs MSU) to win, 6-5. Andy Dahl was the hero for the Boilers, knocking his four-run homer in Purdue’s half of the eighth inning. Then, in the bottom of the ninth, Travis Gulick knocked a dramatic grand slam for the Spartans. His round tripper, however, was only enough to bring State within one run of Purdue.
