Fort Lauderdale (Coconut Creek) FL student Binjimen Victor has submitted his signed his letter of intent (LOI) to attend the Ohio State University. This is a bang-bang commitment, since “Bin” verbally committed as recently as January 18th to Ohio State. The 6’4″, 177 lb wide receiver is rated as composite 4-star by 247sports and was the #13 nationally ranked player at his position. He was recruited by Zack Smith.
At his height/weight, Binjimen will have to put on a few pounds, but a look at his offer list (per 247sports.com) indicates that quite a few teams (he held 43 0ffers!) saw something in the lanky wide-out. Looking at his highlights (per hudl.com) you can see why he held so many offers.
With Binjinem’s height, long stride and “soft” hands, I see his style similar to that of Michael Thomas; and that seemed to work out pretty well. There are 10 WRs on the roster for 2016, but with so much inexperience, I expect Binjimen to get a legitimate opportunity to see significant playing time. It wouldn’t hurt if Marotti managed to put a few pounds on him over the spring/summer.
