Blue Apron (Free Trial)

Yeah, I've only had to interact with customer service once, but that experience was fantastic.

Have to say, this week as a whole (salmon, casserole, Swedish meatballs) was the least compelling for me so far. Nothing was bad (indeed, we liked every plate well enough), but neither was I just blown away by any of it. Could be that I've been in zombie mode with this being the crazy busy season for ETS and that anything that isn't spicy delicious brains hasn't been exciting.

I still have a trial to give out if someone is interested.

Made the Chicken, Spinach, Artichoke casserole today. As @Clarity said, it's not 5-star, but I thought it was pretty good & would make it again.

We got our first box last night. Made the hake dish. I wasn't a big fan of the caponata, but the rest of it was excellent. I'd be interested in tweaking it a little bit to top it was a sauce or reduction of some kind instead. My wife and I both took generous portions of the caponata and there was still enough left for probably two more servings. Everything was super easy. My biggest concern was overcooking the fish, but the recipe was clear and it was perfect. Looking forward to trying the other two meals.

One tip I have for all participating. They have you zesting citrus often. While they instruct a classic knife technique, those less familiar are apt to include more white pith than one generally wants. If you don't have a microplane zester, it would be a good (and entirely cheap) addition to your arsenal.

Also, I want to second this advice. I'll be picking one up after zesting a lemon using the knife method. I was able to avoid the pith, but it was more time consuming than zesting a lemon generally should be.
