Ended up not being as bad as it looked. Should avoid surgery but he'll be out a while.

I think the reaction was as much about having just returned from TJ after missing all of last year. Probably thought it was torn again.

I did a double take when seeing that. Though I get he is off to a slow start and picking the Padres and that home park did him no offensive favors, that is for sure. But saying that, I was surprised the 5th waiver priority got him. And if he can’t outperform Carter Kieboom, then maybe I should give up on fantasy baseball!

I’ll be honest, I didn’t even see he got cut. Just saw he got claimed. Although, if you got him at 5, I wouldn’t have gotten him. I’m 5 in the order now after you moved to the back of the line.
