    • When Clarity created this site just over two years ago, Bustnuts was the only big game in town for Buckeye sports discussion. It took this site months just to get a couple hundred members, and it looked like it was remain a little niche site. Well, word started getting around, and as more and more features that are available only here (extensive recruiting threads, recruiting database, the arcade, video clips, etc.) were started, along with a more free and open venue for discussion, BuckeyePlanet has grown exponentially, while Bustnuts has grown at a much slower and more linear rate. As I am typing this, we have 4,450 members while Bustnuts has 10,398 (putting as at almost 43% of their size). Keep in mind that Bustnuts is owned by Scout, Inc., a huge web company, while BuckeyePlanet is essentially owned by us. For us to be nearly half the size of Bustnuts so soon is mind-boggling. And with the implementation of our new server (hopefully within the next few weeks), along with Clarity's projected stats data engine, it won't be long before BuckeyePlanet is universally recognized as the de facto Buckeye soprts chat site in the world.

    I wonder how many from BP are still considered members at BN, even though
    they rarely visit there ?

    This reminds me of my local pub.

    You get to know the owner, the bartenders and barmaids.

    When you first come in you may be a little cautious and the regulars are a little skeptical.

    Once everyone knows you are for the home team they will in most cases be tolerant of your differences. There is diversity in age, occupation and location. We are a little heavy on the Y chromosome but what bar isn't.

    If you did not feel comfortable you would go to a new bar.

    BP is the best place in town. It is the members that make it worth staying.
