Braxton Miller has his eyes on Adidas' $1 million 40-yard dash record bounty

Can he do it?
Adidas is offering a million dollars to anyone at next month's 2016 NFL Draft combine willing and able to break the combine's historical 40-yard dash time record and do so wearing Adidas' new 2016 adizero 5-Star 40 cleats.
The Arizona Cardinals' (late of Tennessee Titans) Chris Johnson presently holds the record of an electronically timed 4.24 40-yard dash. The shoe company has done similar bounties each of the past three years with an Adidas endorsement deal on the table in 2013 for the overall fastest, $100,000 the next year for the same, and $100,000 for the three fastest players a year ago. Originally, there were plans in place a year ago to give away Porsches to the three faster players before the NFL stepped in and prohibited it.
Of course, with more than 300 players present in Indianapolis this coming March, there'll be plenty of steep competition. But one former Ohio State Buckeye speedster is more than aware of what's on the table:
A placard in OSU's Woody Hayes Athletic Center famously listed the former quarterback-turned-wide receiver as running a 4.32 40 three years ago. Urban Meyer's been somewhat infamous for listing hand timed/wind aided/clearly somewhat embellished 40 times at his team's football facilities since his days at the University of Florida.
Former Buckeye corner Bradley Roby, the one player listed on Ohio State's 2013 big board as being faster than Miller, was listed in the team's timings as having run a 4.26 40, just shy of Johnson's record. His fastest time at his actual NFL combine was 4.39 seconds.
There's no guarantee Miller will even participate as the contest requires a tacit Adidas endorsement. It's possible Miller may already be committed to one of Adidas' competitors, Nike or Under Armour, or perhaps simply wants to keep his negotiating power for possible endorsements at its highest.
