Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul

AMC picks up 'Breaking Bad' again

Walter White lives on. AMC and Sony Pictures TV are on the verge of announcing a fourth-season pickup for "Breaking Bad."
The intense drama series starring Bryan Cranston as a high school chemistry teacher who turns to meth manufacturing after he's diagnosed with cancer has been a strong performer for AMC, critically and commercially. But the cost of the show presented some hurdles for the cabler and studio in coming terms on a deal for a fourth season.

"Breaking Bad" is said to cost about $3 million per episode, which is on the high end of most basic cable dramas. It's understood that the studio and network went back and forth for some time on setting the budget for the fourth season, and on an agreement for AMC to pick up some of the tab in the case of budget overruns.

Hell yeah. I was waiting to get season 3 on Blu ray to catch up before the start of season 4 but found Time Warner had season 3 On Demand.

Sure does seem like Walt got the gun to go on the offensive.

I watched every episode in order starting a couple weeks ago in time for last nights season 5 premier. This show is awesome. I wish I hadn't stumbled across what happened to the kid before I got to that episode, though. That twist would have been awesome to experience.

I just started watching from the first season on Netflix. We're almost to the end of the second season now. Sucks that we couldn't get caught up to the fifth season in time to watch last night's premier.

Me too. I watched the first 3 seasons this winter. Netflix certainly took its sweet ass time making Season 4 available, but I'm looking forward to watching that while DVR-ing Season 5. Awesome show. I'll probably start it from the beginning again once I'm completely caught up.
