Brian "Body Kount" Kelly (HC Louisiana State)

Some of the UC Juggalos must be pulling on some tainted Faygo. Here are some of their "candidates" to replace Kelly.

If I am Mike Thomas:

I call Jon Gruden...this could be a very hot job right now, especially with the facility upgrade
I mentioned in an earlier post about someone like say a Steve Spurrier or Mike Stoops?
Skip Holtz - East Carolina -

Another Notre Dame worshiper perhaps, but knows a thing or two. Probably would like to move up to the adult table. Daddy would talk him up, I'll bet.

Kyle Whittingham - Utah -

Mormon, but has shown a lot of success. [:yow2: I'm sure that was our feeling when we hired Dr. Gee.]

Chris Petersen - Boise -

If he can continue to coach like he has he'll get to the NC Game with Cincy.

Jim Harbaugh - Stanford -

Why not?
Pat Fitzgerald from Northwestern.
1. Tommy Tuberville
2. Butch Davis
People need to wake up

UC has just a good of chance of getting
Jim Harbaugh
Butch Davis
Chris Peterson
And a surprising voice of reason in the juggalo wilderness....
I'd scratch Harbaugh. He definitely is not a spread guy and he definitely IS a guy who supports higher academic standards (hence why he is at Stanford and was mentioned for Notre Dame). He would not be a good fit here.:slappy:
Unfortunately, there is just so much reason and rational thinking to go around in juggalo land.
Why would we not have a shot at Harbaugh (presuming we wanted him)? We are the number 4 team in the country (number 3 in the BCS) and playing in the Sugar Bowl. Is his job at Stanford better or more powerful than the job here? Maybe some of you folks had better take your blinders off and realize this is not "Little Ol' Cincinnati" of Conference USA anymore. We are THE major player in one of 6 BCS conferences, just as big and bad as the Pac10, and the Little 11.
And of course, no juggalo thread is complete without a snide reference to The Flagship

How about Jim Tressel? He might want to take the next step up...
When the end comes, I know I was just a juggalo. College football goes on without me....'cause I aint got no coach. No coach cares for me. No coach. No coach.

I just read in the Jordan Hicks thread that Mack Brown was flying into Cincinnati. Perhaps he just wants folks to think he is talking to Jordan.

Cincinnati is merely reminding us of the laws of gravity. Their ball was tossed into the air. It has reached the top of the arc and is about to head back down. Highest the Bare-cat ball has ever been tossed - but a well know arc nonetheless.

They lose FIFTEEN starters this year. They have one 4 star recruit coming in. One player ranked in the top 20 at their position. And anyone they are chasing of any quality (Matt James) will follow Kelly to ND before committing to the Bare-cats.

Enjoy this season Cincy fans - it is all you get.

Now go grab another up and comer and get him groomed. Never know when JT might hang it up and we might be able to use him.

Seriously...Luke Fickell. Seems like a great hire to me. Give him a chance to get some experience in Ohio before Trssel moves on. That being said, if he did an amazing job, he'd prob leave Cincy for another big-time gig.

But the guy can recruit, players love him, and he has the right tempermant, IMO.

Wonder if he'd have to leave all mention of where he went to school off his official web page the way Zimpher did?

Definitely true. Thing is we could always call Fickell home regardless of where he was when we needed him.

I know Urban has said no to ND countless times.....but what about Urban for Cinci? He could do the special teams work, Pete Carrol can come in and coach the D. Maybe somebody like Bill Walsh could invent a new offense. I bet Vince Lombardi is dying to put it all together and make one last run.

Fielding Yost! Because death is no excuse.

The thread that keeps giving

Another guy I would definitely inquire with is Tim Brewster at Minnesota. The guy is an amazing recruiter. If he were to get into a better job with more local talent he could really turn out to be a great coach.

Ummm, Brewster has Big Ten money, Big Ten facilities and a brand new on-campus stadium, juggalo.

I just can't help but think that where we are the pinnacle of a program someone like Spurrier can see what BK saw and that is a direct path to the NC,

Truly speechless here. Absolutely nothing I can say.

I wish those fuckers would stop referring to him as BK. It's tarnishing my sterling reputation.

The one caveat for the Juggalo's is that they only interview coaches who are also Down Ass Ninja's that is going to reduce the field significantly.

I would love for them to hire Luke Fickell. What would all the bandwagoners say after talking about Gruden, Harbaugh, etc. and ending up with thier second coach from tOSU in 4 years.

I wouldn't, Luke Fickell is the coordinator that I would really hate to part with at this point in time

Brian Kelly:

This morning, I woke up and took a long, hard look at myself in Mardy Gillyard's Grill. I realized that I hate the University of Cincinnati. I hate our bandwagon, Thuggins worshipping alumni and fans. I hate our crap facilities and our little shoebox stadium. I hate being in the same state as one of college football's gold standard programs. I hate the fact that I'm losing 16 starters and 23 off the two-deep from this year's team. I hate this job, this school, this town and most of all I hate you.
