8-5...holy shit. I was hoping for 6 or 7 wins this year and just some signs of improvement. Being right in the thick of the playoff race is even more impressive considering the swiss cheese defense they trot out there every week.

9-4 with refs that understand the forceout rule last week...

11-2 if the refs count the forceout, Dawson hits the FG against the Raiders and Dawson hits the FG against the Steelers and win in overtime...

In all reality, this is far better then what I expected... if we beat Buffalo, we'll be nearly guaranteed a wildcard berth.

I think all of us Browns' fans should send a thank you note to the Jets coaching staff for their brilliant clock management. If Romeo wouldn't have kicked it deep when the score was 17-15, I would have fired him for sure. In fact when the score was 17-12, I would have considered going for it on fourth down.

When is Grantham going to learn to continue to play the defense that put him in the lead and not that passive crap that he showed in the 4th quarter. Beat the Bills and then to the Super Bowl.:wink2:

A win and a Tennessee loss will put the Browns in the playoffs.....

The first tiebreaker is head to head, which the Browns would own against Buffalo

the 2nd tiebreaker is best percentage within conference. If the Titans lose, they'll be 4-6 (with two to play) against the AFC whereas with a win the Brownies will be 7-4 (with two to play). Since the best Tennessee would be able to do is .500, the Browns are in.....

Also, the division is NOT out of reach just yet.

IF the Squeelers choke against Jacksonville (not exactly likely, but possible), the Browns will move into a virtual tie, although the Steelers have the tie breaker.

Also, say the Steelers DO win, the Browns move into a tie with Jacksonville for the 5th playoff seed (assuming a Browns win), and with no head to head, the Browns will again own the tiebreaker for best in conference PCT......

If we tied with the Jaguars, then we would play San Diego instead of Pittsburgh which might be nice. However, I think I want another shot at the Squealers.

Given who San Diego's coach is, you may be right. Although they might be riding a 5 game winning streak were that to happen.....
