Buckeye football fan Jim Furyk wins $1,2 million

Jim Furyk and his Columbus-born wife Tabitha are leaping with glee at the Sun City Course in South Africa after he beat Goosen, Clark, and Scott in a four-way playoff for the $1.2 million Nedbank Challenge golf tournament winner's prize. A few years back Furyk lost after he disqualified himself for something no one else saw.

You may remember Furyk celebrating at the NC game. Supports the Buckeyes and talks them and Columbus up everywhere. A class act. What a pleasure to watch him win and his gracious acceptance speech.

I can always tell when Furyk missed the cut on a fall Friday. He's at the 'Shoe on Saturday. Parks at the Schottenstein Center.

Jim's swing is straight up comical, but not half as funny as most people I golf with

Yeah, you look at him and you would swear he couldn't break 90 . Mind you, Scott and Clarke weren't laughing when he chipped in on the final playoff hole to win it all.

I consider this guy an honorary Buckeye, so I was yelling "come on, Buckeye, come on, Buckeye" and screamed when he sunk it.

It's summer and it was about 85 today, so my windows were open. My neighbors were having a barbeque and found it all to be rather amusing! Furyk is really well liked here, especially after disqualifying himself. They even brought that up again in the award ceremony.

The reality is even though it looks funny, the follow-through is very effective. It's his take-away that causes him to overcompensate and look funny
