BuckeyePlanet 2.0. 10 years later, we're being rebuilt from the ground up.

Really like the new look. Is there any way to change posts per page?

Because of the way we have to do the rewrites from the old URL structures, we have to stay at 15 per page for the time being. More info in the FAQ forum, but that's the quick answer. We'll be able to go higher after enough time has passed that our old links have either decayed or been updated around the web.

Already placed all my vcash in the sportsbook... my guess the v500 is given to broke people when a new event is created like the old BP, correct? I can let you know if that happens when a new event is created (or whenever the vbroke get their food stamps) damn... so long since I have been vbroke... strange feeling...

Another thing that is getting annoying. When I click on a new page it defaults down to the bottom of the page even if there are alot of new posts I haven't read yet (like there are 10 posts on a page, it still starts me at the bottom like it is assuming I want to make a post). This also happens when I click on the "go to first unread message" button. Not sure if it is a setting I need a change or something that hasn't been implimented yet.

***UPDATE*** So it looks like BB is creating the NCAA football bets and my vwelfare check hasn't come in the mail. So just curious if it is now a timing issue, like at midnight my vwelfare check will come?

This is the same problem that I was having yesterday, and still having today

Is is happening on threads the first time you load them in the new system, or is it happening when you revisit them after you had already been in them (since the upgrade)?

@LongwoodBuck is working through it as quickly as possible. I imagine she'll get a big chunk done today.

@Clarity It is happening every time I visit a thread, even if I have already viewed it before. It is rather annoying, but in the scheme of things its not that a big of deal right now. I have noticed it does not happen on my phone, only on my work computer (Windows PC using IE8).

Thanks again for all your hard work!

Mine as well. IE and Chrome on Windows 7. When I went to new unread post, it would take me 4-5 pages back to posts 10+ days ago (even though I had visited them since then.)

But since the update, if I go back to that thread, it seems to work without issue.

Ahh, yeah, IE8 and lower is going to be an issue around most of the modern (HTML5, CSS-driven) web. Let me see if I can sort out a solution more meaningful than "use a different browser". Or maybe it was "lower than IE8". I know MSIE just doesn't comply with web standards (even old ones) the way the others do. @Deety might be able to shed some light here as well.

Right, that behavior is normal, if it's only happening once. Your browser is having to relearn what you've seen and what you haven't -- it expects the old formatting and content, is getting new, and is retraining itself (basically).

Ah, go figure.. I have a certain disdain for IE, unfortuneately it is all I can use at work. I can see about updating it 9 or higher though.

We have to tell many a client to go to Firefox or Chrome and leave IE behind for our SaaS. This seems difficult for many government clients as most of the IT folks don't like the fact that Chrome and Firefox auto update. We have one client, a Canadian eh, who constantly wants our software to work in IE 7....who boy....

Kudos Clarity and team for the site upgrade. Top Notch!!!!!

Compatibility view might be helpful while we see if there is a site-side fix for it.

Seems like as good a place and time for this as any.
