Gee, maybe the mock-Commish wants to complete all 3 rounds of this before the actual draft occurs. That's a concept.

BN27, just keep doing what you need to do. You have my mock-owner support.
Have already gotten BN27's thoughts on this and he agrees with me. It pisses him off too. So what if it ends after the real draft? Will it be ruined?

I also personally thanked him for taking the time to do this for the members.

BN27 Thanks for pulling the proxy trigger from my PM'd list Steelers picks.

The Black and Gold front office is happy that they were able to get a quality pick like Chris Kemoeatu, OG, Utah to fill a critical need this deep into the second round. One Defensive position to fill in the 3rd round.

It seems every time I am up to pick, it's on a night I goto bed early.. ok....

With Pick #63 Overall, #31 in Round 2, Cleveland takes Chris Spencer, Center, Ole Miss

He is the #1 Center in the draft this year. We are lucky to be able to pick him up at the end of the 2nd round.

Chris Spencer was redshirted in 2000 before becoming a regular contributor in an offensive line rotation in 2001. He started at both guard and center the next two seasons, before taking over the starting center job fulltime this past season. He has an excellent combination of size and strength for an offensive lineman. He is extremely smart and is among the best when it comes to making the proper line calls as a center. He has just about everything you look for in a NFL center. His biggest weakness is his lack of experience. He only has one full season under his belt as a starting center. He needs to improve his technique and may take a year or two to develop into the type of player he can be. He has the ability to play guard or center at the professional level and may be one of those players that starts out as a guard, then moves on to center a year or two later. Chris Spencer is a solid second round pick and should be among the top interior offensive linemen selected in the 2005 NFL draft. He has a great deal of upside and could be the best center in this draft in a couple years.

BTW, and no warnings required, because I only want to point something out..

For those of you sending me PMs, and dings telling me how bad my first pick was..

Goto College Football New's website and LOOK at who they think Cleveland should take this year.. their new updated draft guide that they published AFTER I made the pick lists Alex Barron as who they think Cleveland should take... so lay off, it's just a damn Mock Draft.

So now Cleveland takes their 3rd center in the past 4 years. We have a 1st rounder, a 3rd rounder and now a 2nd rounder.

While I don't like the picks... I at least like the trading down though. But I won't ding ya cuz this is just a mock draft and that is just stupid if people are. Now if the Browns actually pick them I will ding you just because

lol. Well we all know how our 1st rounders go..

and if you read the writeup, Chris Spencer is more apt to play gaurd out of the gate anyways.

With the last pick in the 2nd round, New England selects CB Eric Green from Virginia Tech.

We need to put an end to the Troy Brown experiment at CB and feel that Green is more than capable of not only providing depth, but also competing for a starting job.

Has a long, lean build with adequate muscle definition, but does have room for additional growth. Has very good short-area quickness with an explosive break on the ball. Has no problems retaining plays and is rarely caught out of position due to his ability to quickly make reads and keys. Has above-average change-of-direction agility, balance and body control, doing a nice job of keeping plays in front of him. Gets a sharp break on the ball and has more than enough range to recover when beaten, but is rarely caught out of position. Is also a special teams standout with a number of blocked kicks to his credit while at VA Tech. Needs to improve his physical play with receivers at the line of scrimmage as he gets pushed off the ball too easily.

Particulars:

4.38 in the 40-yard dash
300-pound bench press
450-pound squat
275-pound power clean
40-inch vertical jump
32 ¼-inch arm length
9 1/8-inch hands.
