oh, just curious... because a divorcee is a woman, and a divorce (with the diacritical mark over the first 'e' in each) is a man. :pThump;786966; said:Yes, why?

take it as a compliment, thump. you're the only here whose spelling i correct. i see you correcting other posters' spelling, so it's rather fun to correct yours. i know, i know... it's "aggregious."
i would spell it the same as i would when spelling "fiancee" or "fiance." if a poster doesn't know what you are referring to with "two-time divorce," then that's his or her own fault. "twice-divorced candidate" would have been fine, too. of course, this likely wasn't considered. i doubt you even knew the distinction between "divorcee" and "divorce."Thump;786976; said:How would you spell divorcee the proper way as you suggest?

OSUsushichic;787000; said:Divorce, with and "accent ague" over the "e".
Thump;787113; said:I know that, but it's impossible as far as I know to type that symbol above the "e."
OSUsushichic;787237; said:I've tried, but it turns into a question mark.
riiiiiiiight.Thump;787254; said:Hence why I typed it the way I did.
