Buffalo Bills (official thread)

Bills signed G Chris Williams to a four-year, $13.5 million contract with $5.5 million guaranteed.

HAHAHAHA Bills. Lose a top 2/3 S then go out and get the 75th best G and give him that kind of money. LOL LOL LOL. Fuck this team I am DONE.

LETS GO BUCKS!!

Potential upgrade on Doug Legursky? Hey, at least they signed an OL with multi-year starting experience for once, this unit has been too thin and inexperienced for years - and they didn't exactly break the bank in today's FA market.

Dolphin CB Nolan Carroll visiting the Bills today. Not looking like a big-splash offseason for Buffalo.

Upgrade over Doug? No probably not. Is he getting paid like he's a lot better? Heck yes.Who cares if he's started from multiple yrs if he has sucked every yr. OBD sucks and has sucked for 14 yrs and they just signed a guy who has sucked for his entire 6 yr career and gave him 5.5 mill guaranteed. So when we cut him next yr or during this yr when he is getting whipped week in and week out we will have more dead cap space for next yr. I guess we said well the 7 mill we are paying Fitz to play for another team will be gone so might as well throw a bit more money down the drain.

There are reasonable differences of opinion about paying disgruntled safeties $9-10m. Buffalo always seems to develop solid DBs, losing a single player in Byrd isn't a big deal, but letting every guy like him get away has been a real problem. That has to change, but I just think the bridge was already burned with Jairus.

This is a team with a 1st(ish) year GM and 2nd year coach, both well regarded by many accounts, supposedly now free(ish)of Ralph's meddling, and I'm inclined to give them a chance to build something. EJ Manuel has a big year coming up, but beyond him Whaley had a very good draft last year. And these are not outlandish contracts today, with a lot of cap room still left, so I don't get the $$ griping.

But seriously, enjoy being a Browns fan instead, that's bound to be a good decision. :)
