CA LB Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa (Notre Dame Signee)

Problem is, only 2 will get big PT, unless Knowles finally starts to rotate
I know they're all great prospects and they seem like good dudes, but the odds are still that at least one of them won't pan out for one reason or another. Obviously I hope that's not the case, but Knowles worrying about getting all 3 playing time is definitely a best case scenario.

It's hard knowing how it will play out but the best will always get the most playing time. And rightly so. Regardless, Knowles/Laurinitas have to do a better job at rotating players. Besides lack of development, the starters risk injury and wear down by seasons end. Not rotating is not a good strategy.

That is the reality of it, if you watch enough CFB not everyone pans out. You obviously want them to, but it doesn't happen. We don't need as many LBs as we used to in Knowles' scheme, but 3 is the right number this year imo. If they all pan out, we are golden like Pony Boy. If not, then we have the depth. But aside from the defensive scheme, KVA to me is a take in any scenario he wants to commit...he is that talented and I would have him ranked over Pierce and Stover even as much as I like them both.

Tom Loy and Kevin Sinclair from ND 247 are both pivoting a bit tonight, saying they think OSU leads for KVA (responding to a poster Tom Loy said most would be surprised if it wasn’t Ohio State for KVA.) 8D
With a looming July 23rd commitment date, that's great news. If we pull it off, it'll be nice to call it a great LB class with KVA in and focus on other positions of need to round out the class (OL, DE, CB and S).

Looks like it will be Notre Dame. He went on a mission trip to clear his mind prior to this announcement, and if it is ND, the importance of religion in his life seems to be the ultimate deciding factor here.

Too bad Urban isn’t still around to dream that god told him he was supposed to be his coach. /s

We have two really solid LBs already in this class and a lot of young talent already on the roster. We’ll be fine.
