Caity not drafted...want to play??

I see that despite her obvious shooting ability, Caity was not taken in the recent WNBA draft (Three rounds on ESPN, anyway). Does she not wish to play pro, or does that leave her with free agency, or what?

RLC!!! Been a long time, my friend.

I would assume she's free to sign with anyone, same as in the NBA. I guess my biggest wish would be that she sign with the Cavs, she shoots better from beyond the arc than anybody they've got.

Just to add, did a little "digging" and found that Caity is to sign with the Charlotte Sting and come to camp this weekend. Best of luck to this fine young lady, best wishes to her and her family, always.

Caity to Charlotte

Thanks, WW,
Charlotte is not one of the teams that I recognize as appearing regularly in the Southwest market where I am, but I am really glad she will get a chance to make a team. My impression was that her sort of shutdown in the tournament games plus perhaps a lack of speed/quickness worked against her in the draft. But then, of course, she reminded us of how good a shooter she is by winning the female 3-point contest recently.

One cut to go by May 20th and she is still with the team. She has a great shot to make it unlike most of the third round picks that have already been cut. Charlotte always had Caity in their sight but only had two picks in the draft and went with posts which is typical for teams when they draft.
