Can somebody C&P Phil Steele's preview?

I would've stopped reading when he had Santonio below Ginn. Ginn is an electrifying player, but when it comes to WR SKILLS, Santonio is better than Ginn and is as polished as anyone in the country.

Can somebody please C&P the Buckeye preview from Phil Steele's mag? I can't find it locally. After all, I live in the high desert!
Who cares if you are in the desert? That doesn't mean you get to steal something for free... C&P free articles is the only acceptable practice on BP...

It's pretty ridiculous (IMHO) when he has us finishing 3rd in the Big10 behind Purdue and scUM. I don't see either of those teams being more talented than us on paper, and I see Iowa being the closest, but they have to come to the 'Shoe.

He projects us playing in the Capital One bowl also...he's kind of turned into a clown.

He used to wait until early August to publish, which made his information the most accurate out there, because he was the last College Football Preview magazine to come out every summer. But I bet he makes more money now that it comes out in mid-June. It seems like he's sacrificed the most up-to-date information for extra money. For instance, he still has Underwood in the 2 deep....

I don't know he's just lost a whole lot of credibility with me with this latest magazine. Plus, he used to be bold and make predictions and kinda go out on a limb. Read every single "Phil's Forecast" for the major conferences, and he kinda gives himself an out incase he is proven wrong. For instance, for OSU, he says "They are a National Title contender" but projects us to finish 3rd in the B10.

I dunno I just think he's a clown. The magazine is great for the information, his predictions have just gone to shit. Next year I'll sit in Barnes and Nobles and read it for a few hours instead of buying it.

You do however get the Pro preview free when you buy the college preview...

Just visit collegefootballnews.com. They blow Steele and anyone else away with their preview, and it's free. It's much more in depth than any of the magazine hacks.

well the thing about purdue is that they miss both michigan and ohio state this year

and not only that, they have iowa at home

they have one of the easiest schedules you can have in the big10

also considering the fact they are returning all 11 starters on a stout defense and a large amount of offense (not sure on exact number), its hard to imagine purdue finishing worse than seconds or even tying for big10 champs

this, in my opinion, is a travesty as no one should be able to miss michigan and ohio state

We've talked about Purdue's upcoming year. Do they have an easy schedule? A decently easy one, sure. They have Iowa at home, but Iowa is NOT going to be an easy game for ANYONE this year, any way you cut that one. They still have to play Wisconsin, Minnesota, an upstart Penn State team and an improved Arizona team away at night (among others). If you want an EASY schedule, check out Kansas State's schedule every year. Purdue will have a lot of players back, but they will NOT be an elite team. You can't expect a team to make it all the way, based on an easy schedule alone. Michigan proved that one last year ::wink::

There's always that ONE team that we don't play that ends up being the one that "wins" the big ten. Iowa in 2002. Northwestern during the 90's. Minnesota last year. Purdue this year.

Bill Snyder is notorious for a cupcake non-conference slate, but they did play at USC in 2001 (and won, since USC was a year away from being a top team) and they played Cal in the BCA Classic in 2003.

I agree that their schedule isn't a cakewalk like some teams like KSU or perhaps some Pac10 teams but in regards to the Big10, the fact they bypass tOSU and Scum definitely makes the road a lot easier. Penn State will be mush improved but is still unproven. Minnesota has great running but nada passing and their defense...yikes. I respect Wisconsin's game because they normally give tOSU enough trouble so I will bypass them. Overall not a weenie schedule but probably the easiest of any Big10 team
