I agree that the D will come around...Mike Brown is too good of a defensive coach for the D to not improve. The rebounding last night (against a much smaller lineup) was fantastic. 14 offensive boards. Double-digit boards for Gooden and Marshall, plus 8 for Z. Those are the kind of number that I like to see. The 49% from the field was a little tough to watch, especially with Hughes struggling badly. But it is nice to see 6 players score in double figures.

Chris Bosh is a player...it wouldn't surprise me to see him end up as top PF in the league within a few years, especially if we can put on some more weight.

Hopefully the Cavs are starting to figure out how to play defense. Looking at their schedule for the rest of the month the only really hard game is at Indy. Their only other away games are against Orlando and Philly. It would be great if they could go 8-2 for the rest of the month.

It seems when the defense fails, it fails miserably. After hanging with the Spurs for 2 1/2 quarters, they fell apart defensively. Now, a great team that is having trouble offensively will still stay strong defensively. The Cavs seem to let their offensive shooting dictate their defense. If they hit a rough spot on offense, it always seems to reflect in their defense. Hopefully, after more time in the Brown system, they can fix that.

What else can be said about Snow? It takes him 3 games as a starter before he can score a point. That's just pathetic. It's not like his defense is Ron Artest-like. It's more like Ron Mercer, well, maybe not that bad, but not good enough to justify him even being on the roster.

The Memphis game was just a defensive breakdown in the 4th, by letting Gasol and Miller take wide open shots in a 3 minute span. They hit them, we come back, throw up some bricks, and a 2 point lead quickly turns into a 10 point deficit.

I think, if healthy, this team will gel together and have a pretty good season. How good can it be though, if your starter at the point scores 10 points in 4 games, and also only has 3 steals.

Nice win. Nearly everyone contributed, they hit 31of32 ft and absolutely
kill them on the boards 56-21.

Gooden, Z, Marshall and Henderson all had 9 boards.

The more I watch the new guys, the more I like them. Even Wils had 4 points tonight. No doubt, he could easily replace Snow and they would not miss a beat. He's quick.

Larry Hughes just has the look and moves of a player. He's going to be a great compliment to LeBron.

19 turnovers is still too many.

I won tickets to Friday nights game so I'll be pumped.

You could see a lot more intensity on defense tonite. There are still lapses, but consistency is picking up. I like seeing that Lebron sat down and moved his feet playing on-ball defense. You can see that the coaching of Mike Brown is having an effect.

Really nice win tonight. 28 straight free-throws! There is obviously more focus on fundamentals under Coach Brown with this team. You don't do that by accident. I'm still watching with guarded optimism. I think this is a definate playoff team with a lot of potential to do more. Time will tell how they will jell. It is good to have the second coming on your team to build around!

Just got back , and I must say it was another impressive performance.

For the second game in a row they nearly doubled their opponents in rebounding.

They also lit up the ft line again, this time shooting 17-19.

Their defense was great tonight. They forced Memohis to take alot of bad shots and had hands in their faces all game long.

The big, big difference in this team this season is the bench. They continue to get stellar play from the bench. The bench guys come in with the same harrassing defensive style, but can also put the ball in the basket. LeBron was in foul trouble all night, but everyone stepped up and the team didn'y miss a beat.

Hughes picked up his play and had a very good game. He seems to be getting more and more comfortable with his role. Marshall, Jones and Henderson are also contributing nightly.

Keep it up.

Just wondering if you are talking about the Spurs game or all the games b/c I think their D' has started to improve and will improve throughout the season. Hughes is probably one of the top 5 defenders in the game, and he will make the whole team better.

Oh definantly, they have really stepped it up. Against Memphis at Memphis we allowed 60% from beyond the arc, and I believe 59% altogether. But last night and the night before, our defense has been dominating, we're always in the passing lanes and we seem to be swarming to the ball, we have great team speed and it shows, our rebounding margin right now is the highest ever in NBA history!!! They started off not trusting the system, and thats why they were getting torn up, but Mr. Brown is a great coach and its really showing.

The Cavaliers moved up to #10 in ESPN's Power Rankings.

Looks as if the experts are taking a wait-n-see approach with this team. Whereas, with Milwaukee and Washington, they've apparently seen enough to think they're the real deal (5 and 3). Can't really blame them with the way the Cavs teased it last year.

Obviously, it doesn't mean shit, but it's interesting to see how those supposedly in the know think of the early play of this team

well we will see when we play the wizards tommorrow nite. I think the Wizards are just the beneficiary of a fast start and a good performance against the spurs.
