KERRY COOMBS SAYS OHIO STATE CORNERBACK GAREON CONLEY IS '100 PERCENT,' WILL PLAY SATURDAY AGAINST RUTGERS

Ohio State cornerbacks coach Kerry Coombs said Wednesday star defensive back Gareon Conley is healthy after leaving the game against Oklahoma two weeks ago with a stinger and that Conley will play Saturday when Ohio State hosts Rutgers.

"Fantastic. He is 100 percent," Coombs said. "Good to go."

Thread bump for the man who, IMO, has been the best player on the defense thus far this year. We hardly hear about him because he's simply been erasing whoever he's been covering.

Like OL, if their name isn't called, then that's a good thing. Gareon has been playing great, and has also been an amazing leader to the young DBs

Not sure how they took that int from him at the end of regulation. He should be a first rounder this year

I hope he stays but he could very well end up being drafted higher than where Eli Apple was in the draft.

Yeah, I don't see him staying at all. But that actually helps recruiting, and the guys behind him are learning as the season goes on

Ohio State cornerback Gareon Conley announces he's entering NFL Draft
Here's what Conley wrote on Instagram:

"Mannnnn it's been a wonderful journey from recruiting to playing in the shoe. I feel like the past four years have really expanded and opened my mind and made me grow as a student an athlete and a man! It's been an honor to play as a buckeye and a silver bullet and also to be apart of the great secondary this past year! I wanna thank everyone from family to friends to buckeye nation for all the love and support it's a tremendous blessing to have played for yall. Most importantly I wanna thanks all my team mates who I was in the trenches with and through thick and thin I love y'all boys and y'all my brothas for life once a buckeye always a buckeye!

"I have decided to declare for the 2017 NFL draft. I wanna thank God cause I didn't earn any of this he blessed me and I took advantage of the blessings and I'm just glorifying him. Thanks again buckeye nation."
