Game Thread CFP Semifinal: Ohio State vs. Clemson, Sat 12/31 @ 7p ET, ESPN

It looked like Beck was making some game calls, but this falls on the game prep that happened the weeks before the game....there's only so much you can change mid stream.
Maybe he is, I thought that a majority of the playcalling was done by Warriner. But they both should be fucking ashamed of this game in every conceivable way. Embarrassing that they had 4+ weeks and this is what they shat out. And, yes, there is only so much you can change mid-stream, but you can make adjustments. Nobody can tell me that with a month, you cannot come up with something if your horrible original plan isn't working. This isn't just tonight. Our offense has lacked adjustments for the last two years. Herman had his stinkers, but we've had 4-6 games of utter garbage this year alone. Something has to change.

Assuming he has no skeletons in his closet, I hope Kevin Wilson gets a call. Like tomorrow. He coordinated some absolutely dynamic offenses at Oklahoma, and was pretty creative with MAC talent at IU. Hell, if he isn't the man, give Joker Phillips a shot. He cannot be worse than the giggle fucks in charge right now.

And another thing: we're never getting back if we don't win our conference. The benefit of the doubt is gone. We have to win the fucking B1G next year.

That reminds me of a post I made half an hour ago. 8D

It's been a long night for all of us, and you're right of course. We don't deserve any benefit it after this performance. Win the conference or shut up and go to a bowl.

my silver lining post:

it's better to have this type of game than a middling offensive game of, say, under 300 yards of offense and a 14-point loss -- whereby meyer hems and haws, rationalizes, and retains too much of the offensive staff. next year should be the year. it likely won't be with beck, warinner, and perhaps even smith, though.

this kind of horrible loss, however, makes it patently clear to meyer that turnover must occur. i don't see how it doesn't.
