Christian McCaffrey (RB Stanford)

First time I've ever done this in the 10 years I've been a member here, but in this case I feel obliged to actually give well wishes to a player who chooses another school instead of TOSU.

GOOD LUCK Christian!

This kids highlight reel is sick. I have no idea how he projects, but it would have been fun to see him realizing his potential and talents in C-Bus. Sorry we'll never have that chance.

Hard to disagree with his decision. Dad played there and its a beautiful campus and we all know the academic standards there. Plus, David Shaw, in my opinion, is THE top young coach in CFB and has turned that program in to one to be reckoned with for years.

Peace

Will be playing on EPENIS2 tonite at 10:00pm EST.

Cool story, my co-worker came in today and told me that his nephew who lived in Colorado was going to be playing on National TV tonite against a highly ranked team from California. Immediately, I thought back to Christian's recruitment and asked him if he knew about this kid. He said "no."

I came here to Christians recruiting page and pulled up his schools name, and and told it to the guy. Incredibly, they are teammates!

My co-worker showed me the e-mail that his brother had sent him about the game. His nephew plays center for Christians team, and is lining up against a kid who is going to USC.

Should make for some good TV.

Good luck to Christian, and to his center. For privacy, I won't use the kids name here.

Peace.

McCaffrey is going the Fournette route and opting out of his meaningless bowl game... No surprise, this may continue

http://www.si.com/nfl/2016/12/19/christian-mccaffrey-stanford-cardinal-skipping-sun-bowl

This too, is going to be an interesting precedence to watch. I'm not sure that I like where it's going, but clearly, it's the kids' prerogative to do this.

Play it forward a bit... Could we be in a position where the kids who have exhausted their eligibility or have declared be paid (gasp) by the Bowls for their appearances? Imagine some of those bowl games and viewership if none of the star players showed up. I'll freely admit, the only draw for me to have watched Stanford's bowl game was to watch McCaffrey.

Next step would be to just sit out the remainder of the season if your teams' conference championship hopes are in the toilet by late October.

I understand it -- Jaylon Smith is one notable recent example. But I think it's a BS move to leave your seniors high and dry.
