An odd tradition I started is guessing 4 songs that will be sung during the Xmas church ceremony. You get a full point if it’s sung, and a half point if only the music is played. Got 4 points last night.

I always thought that old timers went to family Christmas gatherings to guess whose daughter that is.

No, it ain't. Last week, I saw him at the creek trying to wash a bit of buckshot out of that coon dog's arse. None a his kids looked like her.

You mean cricket or crickets? Crickets is the one with one eye on account of that hunting accident. Cricket walks with a bit of a limp.

Who the hell did Festus marry anyway? Mary Ann? His kids look like she used to look.

[cracks open another beer] It was cricket.

He married cricket? .....
