Cincinnati Bengals (2013 Season)

And there were two others almost as bad on that play.

Any respect I had gained for Pittsburgh was immediately lost on that play. Lost our punter for the year because of that bull[Mark May].
Cheap shots or no, the steelers know how to beat the bengals (and the browns). They simply mug them and the bengals (and browns) fold.

Even back in the 50's, when the steelers were perennial basement dwellers, they were known as a team that would beat you up physically even as they were losing the game.

PS. yes, I'm old enough to remember the fifties - the browns were the last team in the nfl to adopt plastic helmets. They wore those old leather jobs in solid white.

That was a shitty game and a dirty one (not surprised) from Shittsburgh. Bengals better win out, have the Patriots lose a game to get a bye, and homefield advantage...they are awful on the road. That game was the ugliest I have seen from Cincy in a long, long time. The first quarter was the worst I've seen in the NFL.

Define "long, long time." September against the Browns? November against the Dolphins? The Bengals are the gold standard for decent team that knows how to lose ugly.

Oh I realize that I said something very profound there and I don't say that lightly...they've had an abundance of shitty performances but this one takes the cake. The Bungals are great at finding new and worse ways to lose every week.

So after this Bal/Det game I played with espn's playoff machine (I believe these are all the right scenarios)..If Baltimore wins out, it appears we will not make the playoffs unless Miami drops a game to the Jets or Bills in the last two weeks. So we need to beat Minnesota and Baltimore to lose to New England to guarantee we win the division. If that happens though, we need New England to fall to Buffalo in the last week. It appears after shitting the bed last night we can kiss our hopes of getting the 2 seed goodbye, and possibly our playoff chances in general. Again, I'm not 100 percent on these depending on other outcomes of games, but I believe this to be correct.
