Cincinnati Reds 2018 season (It's that time of year again)

LA is in a bad spot right now - their rotation is a mess, Kershaw is hurt, no one is hitting and the Diamondbacks might have the horses to run away and hide in the division - well unless you believe in Colorado.

The Reds have enough hitting ability to probably avoid losing 100 games this year.

i believe LA gets Turner and Forsythe back tomm but still for this reds team to actually get a 4 game sweep of anyone on the road this year is a modern miracle. man they mustve just hated price so much

I don't.

I am old enough to remember the rivalry with them in the 70's and 80's

fuck LA

I guess there lies the difference between you and I. I always kind of liked the Dodgers but I’m not old enough to care about the then NL West or whatever the Reds were in at the time. Baseball, for me, began in 1990, when I was seven. There were a few seasons where the Dodgers were meh and then the realignment.

It's hard to explain the difference between baseball then and baseball now.

This was an all star game

I was raised by Marty, Joe, and my dad - in that order - to hate the Dodgers. But I could never bring myself to hate Lasorda, and I got swept up in Fernandomania in the early 80s like everyone else.

My dad owned a liquor carry out and got comped Reds and Bengals tickets every year through Kerr or Matesich distribution. All I had to do was ask dad if we could see the Reds or Bengals and if he had 48 hours notice me and half the boys in my neighborhood were there with dad chauffeuring us in his Econoline delivery van.
