  • ...However Wells is bigger, faster and stronger than Clarett and when it comes to attitude and work ethic there are no similarities between the two. Wells is the kind of player that leads his team in voluntary summer workouts,...

The one thing you couldn't slam Clarett about while he was here was his work ethic. He was the one calling out upperclassmen in summer camp about their lackadaisical work effort, as a true freshman. If Wells has the same work ethic, minus the attitude and baggage, then we are going to be very, very happy next season...

Milli, Clarret admitted at one point that he stopped working out (lifting) about halfway through the national championship season. Granted he was hurt part of the time, but to stop working out completely the rest of the season is not a great work ethic.

iirc he siad he had to stop working out his upper body and some leg work because of his shoulder injury. not that he quit on the team.

to me it seems like his ego just got the best of him. im sure he came in with a full head of steam and said some things but during that season he seemed to get hurt more often and play less and after he left osu he obviously didnt have a very good work ethic. its all good he can still dominate in steubenville.

His shoulder stinger kept him from being able to do hardly any upper-body workouts from the Wisconsin game (game 8). I don't think he said he totally stopped working out, but rather quit lifting (even when doing leg workout you have to lift the weights from rack to abr and back).
