Im under no guise that ATL is a great team. Their defense is just not good. So it was refreshing to see our coaching staff see a weakness and hammer it.

Dirty birds are good offensively so it is nice to see our defense show some depth and get after it. Won't say this win means that we've turned the corner, but it's a good place to start building confidence.

I thought old Hue was supposed to be offensive genius. I saw more creativity from Kitchens yesterday that I have been 2+ seasons under Jackson. Maybe the Bangles will rehire him before we get to smack their asses.

It wasn't just the creativity too, but not going away from shit that works early. ATL had no answer for that outside zone run. Kitch saw that and all of a sudden Chubb has a career game.

If they keep this up to close the season... Maybe the interm becomes more.

Edit: and in 2 weeks Duke has 3tds and is icing linebackers. Thank you again, Kitchens.

Yea Duke getting involved is big.
For once i may agree with snagging a 1st round WR.

Through 10 games, the clowns are pacing to score 349 pts (21.8 ppg) this season. That would be their most "prolific" offense since 2007 when the Derek Anderson-led squad racked up 402 (25.1 ppg). It would also be the second most they've posted since the reactivation (2002 with 344 pts is currently #2) and just the 3rd time that they've eclipsed the 20 ppg barrier.

Well, still have 2 games against the fighting Marvin Lewis's and their 450 yds allowed per game rusty drapes defense.

Also imagine if they had a kicker worth a broke dick.

or refs that didn't blow inexplicable calls
or an OC that wasn't sandbagging to get the moron HC fired and magically turn around the offense at the end of the season

Should have fired Jackson during the off season so this wasn't a totally wasted year. In true Browns fashion they'll probably win out to get the worse possible draft pick without making the playoffs.

Except now they got a guy that might not actually blow the pick.

Every once in a while ole Doug writes a good article and puts things in perspective. I especially enjoyed the last sentence in this quote from the article.
The trick-play, occasional wishbone stylings of Kitchens, the one-time Arizona Cardinals tight ends coach calling NFL plays for the first time, are less a testament to his offensive innovation and more an indictment of the intractable boorishness of the guys who got fired.

The last two weeks proved just how awful Hue Jackson and Todd Haley were together, allowing their ego-driven ineptitude to derail the rookie season of Baker Mayfield. All the Browns have said in praising Kitchens are things that any players would say about any qualified NFL play callers who don’t let their own stubborn arrogance get in the way of what’s best for the team.

If the Browns could do it, they should fire Jackson and Haley again.
