Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

Haslam is such a meddling moron. He thinks he can micromanage the team into winning, when instead he is just making it harder for his coach to succeed by wasting several working hours for the coach every week to please his own selfish interests. Someone needs to tell him that rival coaches get to spend all of their working time actually coaching and preparing to beat his team and he is handicapping his coach by micromanaging.

:slappy: because fucking up the team not on game day wasn’t enough...

I read an article today that did a pretty good job of justifying the analytics meetings. The Eagles and Ravens do the same thing. Better than idiot Freddy winging it every Sunday. I don't think they are going to dictate what they do on Sunday, just making sure they are providing the best data based on what they are planning on running. I.e. when you line up in this formation the defense runs a certain blitz 50% of the time.

That might be the way it works in a normal organization...but this is the Browns, where a GM got suspended for texting a coach during a game

Lol, Jimmy Motherfucking Haslam. He is easily the worst owner in the NFL, is in the running for the worst in professional sports, and is in the discussion for the worst of all time.

It came down to
1. Trust a guy who has been with a proven winner for years to get this thing straightened out or
2. Trust himself and his organization that he put together

AND HE WENT WITH 2! He is essentially 0-fer in hires over a decade yet he actually thought his way of doing things was the way to go.
His lack of self-awareness is baffling. I am 100% convinced that these fuckstix will have 2-3 years of inexplicable stupidity leading to the firing of Sepanski or whatever it is, and Berry and Cleveland's dumbass owner will do it all over again. And he will be just as convinced he is right.

Can't make this shit up.

I don't know that McDaniels is really that great of an option. Wasn't he the guy that though Tebow was a first round pick? Not many guys have come out of NE and been successful.

Compared to Haslam ..McDaniels isLombardi.

Mike? J/K

I don't disagree about that statement, but I feel better with 3 guys working together than McDaniels on his own. IMO if Stefanski can make Cousins a successful QB he should be able to do the same with Baker. I would still try to keep Hunt even if it means trading OBJ to free up cap space. Chubb and Hunt could be amazing together in a heavy play action offense. I feel Moneyball will show they don't need Landry and OBJ.
