Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

It's a big chunk of cap space that a team could clear by trading for him.

I hope it happens, because Antawn is so far passed it's prime it isn't even funny.

He was enjoyable to watch when he played for the Wizards, but as soon as he became a Cav, it's like he immediately aged 10 years.

That's still a REALLY big chunk to take on. Not saying it won't happen, but man... 15 mil?!?!? That's Larry Hughes-esque. (not as bad as Hughes contract IIRC)

it's an expiring contract. those are worth gold in the nba for salary dumps. teams with cash or cap problems would beg to take on jamison's contract.

chuck hayes is seriously undersized to play center but he is available...kings voided his contract after he said he had a heart problem which the cleveland clinic later refuted...not sure if the cavs would be interested but hes somewhat young and is a good rebounder...if hollins screws up the backup spot, i think samardo could fill in somewhat...i would be worried about him on the defensive side and getting introuble...but i see no problem if he is on the offensive side...dude is a banger inside

Cavs lose home opener 104-96:

Box score from last night's game: Out rebounded 48-37, Cavs starters out scored 59-43. Countdown to the lottery is now underway.

the real killer for the cavs vs the raptors was the pick and roll defense...we got destroyed by it...couldnt tell u how many times calderon was at the top of the key and we were slow rotating or there was no help D and he just hit the guy rolling to the basket for 2...worked all night...irving had a brutal night but he will get better...he looked better in the first 2 pre season games...but we acheived our goal...and that is a loss

We did get a total of 24 points and 13 assists between Ramon Sessions, and Irving. The other Rookie, Thompson had a nice first night, I think he could be at least as good as JJ Hickson. A Good read from the ABJ:

IMO, Tristan is more equipped than JJ Hickson at similar points in their careers. I think Tristan has alot more upside. Where as JJ Hickson had a solid frame, but needed to work alot on his game.

Tristan has a few more brain cells than JJ too. It's no secret why Hickson still wears velcro. As far as Irving goes, I'll take 7 assists to 1 turnover 10 times out of 10. I want to see great defense and assists offensively. Points will come.

That being said...top five pick.

Yeah, I really like his lack of fear when driving to the hoop. He's showing alot of promise, especially in Scott's scheme.

I don't know if you read the story in the ABJ that I posted a link to, but the Cavs could make some huge strides in the next year. They could trade Jamison's expiring contract to another team who would want to unload a better player with a longer contract. If Sacramento makes the playoffs we get their first round pick. The writer felt, we could trade Andy to a contender for another first round pick in a draft deep with talent.

Tonight; it's go Pistons
