damn, I thought we were trading down for Jonas. crap.

Agree. I'm going to be shocked if the Cavs don't make a trade tonight

PGs: Baron, Irving, Sessions plus Boobie at the 2
PFs: Jamison, Hickson, Thompson, Andy (can play C a bit too)

Plus we have the TPE

Did anyone here watch Tristan Thompson play in College? In my imo he has a higher upside than Williams...another year in school and people would've been talking Top 3 with him easily.
Offensive rebounds are never a bad thing, and a 7'2" wingspan is a plus.

One thing to note though is that Thompson is actually older than Williams. John Hollinger had him rated as the #3 player in the draft. His inability to shoot free throws (48%) is kind of scary for a guy who is often described as having a great ability to get to the line as one of his most positive attributes.

Throw in the fact he's Canadian, doesn't have a jump shot, wonderful fit for the cavs. Yes i watched him play for UT.. and heard how great he was.. then at the end of the season, heard how they should yank him from the game because he can't shoot free throws. Bottom line... dude choose to be coached up by Choke Barnes...

I just don't see how you pass up a chance to get a franchise type center for a power forward who is slightly undersized and is described as having a low skill level. Yes, he supposedly has great intangibles but that only gets you so far. Draft Express had his best case scenario listed as Tyrus Thomas with better intangibles...ugh.

I think that Jan Vesely guy the wizards took at 6 looks interesting, 6'11" and flying to the rim. And did you see the chick he was sucking face with after his pick? :p
