Wtf Noah Syndergaard is what they got in return. Seems like a odd trade. Not a big Rosario fan but woof. Syndergaard has a 7.16 ERA in 12 starts this year. Gave up a MLB quality player for a guy the Dodgers were probably gonna DFA at some point. Fleeced

Rosario was going to go FA and he’s one of the worst defensive players I can ever remember, so I guess they took a flier on a pitcher with a name to try and milk something else out of him (reminds me of the Browns signing Bowe, but we’ll see)

They have a logjam of SS prospects, this is about trying to see what they have there and getting those guys MLB experience. Not to mention they need another starting arm and your just hoping the pitching coaches can get something out of Noah. Noah and Rosario are both FA's at the end of the year.

I was under the impression that they were going to look for present tense offense, but a power hitting first baseman type is certainly an organizational need. (I guess the deadline goes through tomorrow at 6)
