Cleveland Indians (2019 Thread of Indifference)

Oh hey guys. Where you been?

Kipnis- .161
Lindor- .207
Ramirez- .065
Brantley- .143
Encarnacion- .059
Kluber- 10.64
Allen - 9.95

What's this, you ask? Our supposed "stars" batting averages and ERAs the past two postseasons. Fuck off.

How about strikeout totals? They were human air conditioning units with the breeze they caused with all the swing and misses going for HRs every AB

Browns fire Jackson today.
Cavaliers fire Lue today.

It isn't a good day to be a head coach/manager of a professional sports team in Cleveland. If I was Francona I wouldn't be taking any phone calls today.

MLB trade rumor buy or sell: Indians shopping veterans, including Corey Kluber

Kluber is set to make $17 million in 2019 before a club option worth $17.5 million in 2020 and another club option in 2021 worth $18 million. He's still one of the best pitchers in baseball, and a three-year, $52.5 million deal is probably far less than he'd get in free agency right now. Surely, Kluber would have a ton of value in a trade and could get Cleveland a nice prospect return, even if it's a salary dump.

None of this is surprising. They will, if the offers are right, move at least.1-2 of them . The ask for the pitchers (especially carrasco) will be steep. He could be a 3 prospect guy with a high ceiling down the road, starting OF, plus near mlb ready reliever kind of return at 7mm . There's either the right market for kluber or there's not, and that right market may be big The rest of them need good fits, who knows.

Instead of getting rid of the pitchers which we have under control for around 3 years I almost would be more willing to trade Lindor because after next year, or maybe it is the year after, he is going to sign somewhere else for the Big money that Cleveland just does not have. He can probably bring just as much value as either Kluber or Cookie right now and Gonzales does need some place to play.

The thing is, with how bad the division is, even if they traded both Kluber and Carrassco they still might be the best team in the division. So it's a good time to sell, pick up some future pieces while still being competitive in a bad division.

Rumors flowing that the Yankees want to talk Kluber & Carrassco. Maybe we can get Justus Sheffield back

Pete Franklin would not like you:wink: if you loaded up the Yankees again. Let another team do that.

It's gonna take quite a haul to land Kluber, yea he's in his 30s but hes a late bloomer cy young caliber pitcher in his prime, and is under team control until 2022

Unless the Indians front office goes full retard, the only way they should actually trade him currently is for some sorts of kings ransom.

Any team that calls and asks for one of our starting pitchers the front office needs to tell that team that they cannot have one of our starting pitchers unless Kippy is included in the deal. If the answer is no, the phone should be hung up immediately.
