So the punishment is a sliding scale based on how important the player is? I thought we were supposed to be different? :)

huh? if washington and clifford tested positive they should be gone....clifford for sure and washington for awhile...how would this be a sliding scale? (up to me washington would be given his bus ticket back to indiana)

The post I was citing read:

amos and washington were equal before amos got hurt.....if true...got to set the tone and cut them loose..

To me that implied cutting them loose was contingent on having Amos in place to take over.

I've done nothing but support Eugene since he was at Colerain...if this rumor is true, he needs to be kicked off the team forever. He's had his chances. Tressel told him the deal when he got cited prior to coming to Columbus: smoke it here, get caught, you're done...

Do not coddle this kid with a third chance. cut him loose and let him either grow up and realize what he has in front of him or let him wind up in jail and realize what he missed. Either way, he no longer deserves the privilage of calling himself a 'Buckeye'.

My understanding of this is that none of this has been confirmed?
It's all just speculation.
Why don't we just chill for 24 hours and let things surface.

I'd love to...but given Eugene's history, I tend to believe there is fire where there's smoke...pun intended.

Ezron chimed in on the O-zone. For those who don't know, he's a very reliable poster who will post Quarterback club comments and the occasional insider stuff on the program, sounds like he's a connected booster. His post:

"First of all I'm hearing NOTHING on Mo Wells.... and to what the penalty ACTUALLY will be for these players.
But, Jam, D.Washington, and Clifford all have failed a drug test(marijuana).
The inside speculation (and this is only someone's opinion) is that Clifford will most likely be gone, Washington could be gone for sometime if not for good and that Jam will be on his last strike.
And all 3 are for sure done for the Spring.
That's what is coming out of the WHAC. I really DON'T enjoy giving you bad news. "

**strictly my opinion**

If this is indeed true, Mr. Clifford needs to be shown the door IMO. This is the 3rd time his name has popped up for this since signing his LOI right? Strike three in my book. See ya...

I think this would be strike two for DWash, gone for the year if I'm in charge.

JamO I can't recall have any problems (if he's involved), 2 games.

Very frustrating when these kids could be at the doorstep of a magical season, and choose to do stupid shit like this.
