Confirmed: ESPN both sucks and blows.

I notice you left out a 3 TD game against Bama, and a fine outing vs troy, since you're throwing in the creampuffs.

He didn't disappear against Auburn twice nor FSU. The latter was an injury, the former saw himself bounce back nicely with a 84 yd 5.3 ypc + 3 rec 36 yd performance.

I think it is pretty tough to separate the top three backs in the sec.

True, 23/93 vs. Bama is a pretty good day.

You could probably put up 102 yards on Troy.

14/33 and 16/84 vs. Auburn isn't anything to get that excited about, but I'll give you the SEC-CG game was over pretty early and USC-E was playing catchup.

I'll stand by my original thought that for Griese to say that Lattimore is "clearly the best back in the SEC" isn't accurate, and borderline stupid. At the very least, it's uninformed.

Alshon Jeffery is, I think, the best receiver in the SEC though. That young man is a BEAST.

Agreed, it's silly hyperbole, but it's not in an entirely different ballpark than a statement like this one:

Knile Davis is better than Marcus Lattimore by any measure you can come up with and it isn't even debatable

Just being able to carry the ball 37/40 times in SEC games is pretty impressive, especially when the defense is going to be keyed on the rush, and Lattimore was a big part of the SC pass game as well. It's definitely debatable, and I agree with others that Trent Richardson belongs in the discussion as well.

Why would the defense be keyed on the rush? According to our SEC brethren, running the ball is boring and so last century.

He also said that Marcus Lattimore is clearly the best RB in the SEC headed into this season.

I'll take Lattimore over Davis.

I prefer Lattimore as well. To me that's not a knock on Davis as much as it is a testament to Petrino's passing offense and the running lanes that it opens in opposing defenses.

I for one wonder how Lattimore would do if he were in an offense that wasn't gimped by Stephen Garcia. If I had to defend against South Carolina I'd focus on stopping Lattimore and take my chances that Garcia couldn't manage to find Jeffery enough to overcome all the mistakes he'd make.

For a non-OSU fan to come onto an Ohio State board and whine about a difference of opinion with ESPN, and say that ESPN hates Arkansas is pretty funny. Ohio State has been taking a pretty good ass-raping from ESPN since immediately after the 2002 season.

But I digress.

Although it's died down a fair bit over the past year, Arkansas was ass-raped for two years solid for hiring Bobby Petrino and Bobby Petrino continues to get buttsecksed for leaving the Atlanta Falcons.

Pat Forde looked into the camera and said "DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO PLAY FOR BOBBY PETRINO AT ARKANSAS", and that's just one of the milder examples.

I know where there is a large repository of ESPN/Arkansas/Petrino buttsecksing with quotes, links, etc., and I won't bore y'all with them, but there is still a big percentage of people who bought ESPNs narrative of what happened, and hate Petrino for it.

This isn't just a whine about a recent difference of opinion.

ESPN has an agenda.
