Congratulations Texas!

I'll add my congrats to Texas in this thread also.

I'll see you in DKR next year. Unless we're fortunate enough to gain a rematch in the Rose Bowl, then I'll see you there first.

I tailgated for about 12 hours. I was at College Gameday for a while, and there were several Texas fans near my seat in 22C. I didn't see anybody in Burnt Orange do anything that would make me dislike the Longhorns or their fans.

Hook 'em.

I am still in constant awe of your football environment, and I am a bit jealous as well. Almost every fan I had any interaction with, was respectful, and hospitable, even to the extent of telling us that there are a few bad apples in Columbus (which we also encountered), but that they are the minority, and this is very true. Everytime we had a Buckeye fan confront us, we just blew it off, and the next thing you know, another buckeye fan would come up to us and tell us not to worry about "that guy" that he is just an ass, etc., and then tell us not to worry, they were not going to let anything happen.

Saturday in the RV lot, man, it was Texas hot out there, especially between the RVs, and damn, there were a lot of RVs. Great times all day, great hospitality, great pregame atmoshpere/discussion, band playing classic rock, the list goes on. (Too many beanbag toss games though, is that a midwest thing, or just tOSU thing?)

Then game time, walking down Lane, into a bar, to the front of the stadium, into stadium, at our seats, and then TBDBITL comes out and rocks. The sousaphone (maybe tuba, all look same) player dotting the "i", wow.

Then the bell tolling on the third downs, halfway through the first quarter I forgot about the two pillars blocking my view of field it was so damn exciting. After the game, I walked down to the student section and sang my fight song and watched our band leave, and I could not have been happier and also proud that this game was played so well by both teams. The whole weekend was surreal, and this victory will do a lot for our program. More than anything, I hope that this game will show the Texas staff that scheduling this type of game will be beneficial, as tOSU is scheduling the toughest home and aways, and that just shows you where you get your team and fan confidence from.

I will be rooting for your team for the rest of the season out of more than just a desire to increase our strength of schedule, but out of respect and admiration for your program and players.

thank you all for the great time, and a great football game. Best of luck, and go out there for the rest of this season and TCOB, and then kick the shit out of Michigan. :gobucks4:

The dotting of the i gave me chills. Also, your band playing "Texas Fight" after the game was pure class. Is that a tradition for the visiting team?

Yep. And from a former OSU band member - it's *so* tough (at least for me) to play it after a loss, so I appreciate the appreciation. :)

(Of course, half the losses from 95-97 were the same stupid fight song. :dead: )

AMEN BROTHER. Hats off to Texas to a great game. We'll be seeing you again next year.

What I found to be hilarious, was a Texas fan was sitting behind me, and says to me, man......I didnt realize how bad you guys hate Michigan....my response, "Yep, as much hate as you can drum up...thats the amount....we hate those assholes."
