I think we'd beat UC, TCU, Georgia Tech, and Oregon. I think we'd lose to UF and Alabama.

I think Texas would be a toss up. But they seem to have a knack for finding a way to win close games, especially against us, so I'd say they'd beat us.

Yes, we can beat them all, but it all depends on who shows up...

I agree. We can beat them all. But they could all beat Ohio State.

Cincinnati - May become a shoot-out. Ohio State would have to take advantage of some key turnovers and take risks downfield. If Ohio State can keep Cincinnati out of their zone, I think it would be like the Michigan game - a thumping, but the score wouldn't appear to be so.

Georgia Tech - I don't know much about them. I'd imagine that Ohio State's defense is good enough to stop them under 24 points. Might be 31-21 or so.

Oregon - Meh. They worry me. Again, Ohio State will need to rely on defense to make some big plays. I don't know much about their defense. I'll pretend, for this thread, that Oregon just fields 11 punters on defense. Ohio State wins 63-21.

Alabama - Ugh. Ohio State WILL make big plays on defense, but not many plays on offense. Alabama would have the ball nearly 40 minutes and probably win 21-10 or so.

Florida - Ohio State's defense would force Tebow to throw. Can he beat Ohio State's defense? I think the big question would be whether Ohio State's offense can move the ball against Florida's defense. I'll say 24-14 Florida.

Texas - McCoy is like Krenzel but a better passer. He just wins games. Ohio State would beat him up, though, and hopefully he throws some interceptions. I'd go something close, like 17-14 Ohio State, but it could be 17-14 Texas.

In these weeks of non-Ohio State college football games, I've gotten to thinking: can we beat these teams?

Cincinatti: Absolutely - our defense would provide too much pressure for Tony Pike to shine, and I trust Chekwa OR Torrance to handle Mardy Gilyard.

Florida: Yes, but it would be a close one.

Alabama: No. That defense is absolutely legitimate. Excellent game planning coach. This one (I hate to say) probably wouldn't be that close.

Texas: Yes, I don't think they're too special... and he took 9 sacks tonight.

Georgia Tech: Their defense is *terrible* and I'm quite sure that Nesbitt would throw at least 3 ints; however, that offense is absolutely legitimate, and the kind that can hurt us (you know that Navy had some drives that made you say "man, if they had the horses...") I'd say this one is a toss up. My heart says Buckeyes, but my head says that GTech has an excellent shot.

Oregon: I think we're going to destroy them.

What do you think?

I think I want some of what you are smoking.

Same here. If you definitions of destroy is comparable to mine (winning by 20pts or more) then that is quite a bold statement. To say that we are going to destroy Oregon might be going a bit too far. I respect you opinion and all, but you might want to take off the homer-goggles and once you do you will see that Oregon is a very good football team. I too think that tOSU is going to win, but Destroy.....c'mon. I feel the same way about this game as I did going in to the Texas game last year. Two very evenly matched teams. The team that shows up with a better game plan and executes that game plan will win. THe good guys will prevail 27-23 based on a strong defense that causes at least 2 turnovers..

This game will be 35-17 Ducks entering the fourth quarter. OSU will not be able to keep up with Ducks offense, and we all know OSU has little offense to offer. OK...one to rest. OSU would beat Cincy, Texas, GT & Florida? What statistic would possibly concur with this thought?

What defensive statistic does Oregon offer to keep us from scoring 30 before the 4th?

Btw, probably not the best idea to present your argument in the way you have. Keep in mind, it is an Ohio State board

Name one legit defense you've played against all year. Ask USC how good our defense is. No fucking way you put up 35 points in three quarters.

As far as us beating Cincy, Texas, etc., we were a missed tackle from beating Texas in the Fiesta Bowl and our defense is better this year, Cincinnati hasn't played against a defense all year, Florida's offense can be shut down, and Georgia Tech's can be significantly slowed down.
