I ike the show whether it's realistic or not. I knew before the show came on that DNA took weeks to months to process and that nothing in the show really works like that. But, it's still entertaining.
i know they cant show time frames in an hour show....but theres nobody on the planet that can solve the cases the way these jackasses pretend things are done. yeah its just a TV show but shouldnt the premise of a drama be that its somewhat realistic? i mean....why not just have a machine that can analyze the crime scene in seconds and spit out the murderer?

what about Law & Order?? it goes on the hot trails of all sorts of criminals for 50 minutes... then out of nowhere, they stumble on the fact that the guy murdered had an affair 84 years ago... and the son of the one day tryst came back to murder him... or some crap...

and were you disappointed that The Titans (with Danzel) found the magical play with no time on the clock.. to win....

or when Earnhardt's son won after Dale was killed in 3.. your favorite NASCAR movie... (oh, maybe we should forget about that one)...

but that's why it's called entertainment and not "News"

I completely NJ-Buckeye. It is meant to be entertaining. A machine that solves crimes in two seconds is not only not entertaining, but it is so far out that no one, even someone completely ignorant, eould find it the least bit realistic. I believe that the CSI team does a very good job making the franchise as realistic as they can within an hour long show.

the original law and order doesnt do this. the crappy spin offs do and they suck too.

listen...i understand that its supposed to be entertaining, but what is entertaining about 50 minutes of "forensics" and then some goof putting it all together in an impossible way?

maniac...check for sarcasm in my post.

Geez, you people are so critical.

Next you're going to tell me that McGyver sucked because it's impossible to make a bomb out of a bar of soap and a toothbrush.
the premise of mcgyver was that he was a super boyscout who could do anything with anything.

the premise of CSI as i see it is real life. that shit doesnt happen in real life.

Drama is supposed to be somewhat real? Hollywood considered the movie "Powder" to be drama, and I'm pretty sure that 20K volt albinos are non-existant ... or so the government says... :) CSI (original) is an hour of entertaining escape for me.

Jerry Bruckheimer created CSI--therefore I will never watch it. He's one of the things entirely wrong with Hollywood today. I cite examples such as: the maiming of Pearl Harbor, Coyote Ugly, Kangaroo Jack, and the latest installment of King Arthur (none of which I've seen due to my boycott of this man). They're all bad.

I'm sure CSI is every bit as bad as BN27 says it is, though. I've never liked a cop drama series in my life, I know I will not like this one. Sure, people like it, but McDonalds is one of the most popular places in America to eat, and I still see people driving Honda Elements and Pontiac Azteks... so I give most Americans 0 credit in the taste department.

27- My wife would kick your ass over the comments about CSI(LOL) as she loves that show! But her favorite is NCIS, but I think that has a lot to do with Mark Harmon. The cast interaction is what makes NCIS for me.
Did any one watch last night's NCIS? SA Tony Dinozo (sp) was infected with plague from a letter. While in the hospital, he and his doctor discover that they played opposite each other in the 1992 13-13 tie game in the Shoe.

Dinozo played for the Bucks!!! His doctor, character named Brad Pitt (lol) played for scUM.
