Curt Schilling: lesson in stupidity

Translation: "I really have no argument, so I'm going to go around and around in circles spewing statements that make no sense just so I can say something without someone getting the best of me."
riiiiight. you get shown up so try to reverse it on to me. good tactic. except that youre a douche bag.

The Yankees WERE going to win because the Twins had no options. If you completely reversed the situation, the Twins would win. You said that I implied that the Yankees would win BECAUSE THEY ARE THE YANKEES. Admit you were wrong and go away for once.
i know you never said the yankees would win because they are the yankees. you said they would win because of who the pitchers were. its a stupid statement to make. theres a reason you play the game. its not because somebody got bored.....its cuz you have to prove it on the field. or should we just go ahead and give the trophy to the cards?

No, your team just sucks. Last time I checked, Chicago is the 3rd biggest market in the U.S. The White Sox should be able to compete with anybody. If the Oiler has enough balls to admit he's jealous, man up and do the same yourself. And if you write an awful lot of threads on the baseball forum for someone that doesn't give 2 shits about baseball. Man up and admit it.
how many times to i have to tell you i dont give 2 shits about your chicago rants. we arent talking about chicago. we are talking about the bankee$. big fucking deal...the white socks suck. maybe i should change my team so i can get into arguments about baseball and then anybody who disagrees with me is an idiot because their team sucks compared to mine.

And yadda, yadda, yadda ... what this has to do with anything is beyond me. Was the WS fixed last year??
youre good at ignoring points. let me simplify it for dumb fucks like yourself. you claim baseball is a business. your butt buddy ND doesnt think it is smart for top businesses to not try as hard so everybody starts out equal. well if baseball is such a business....why doesnt it try to make as much money as possible? fixing every game to make them more entertaining would be a good way to do it. so why not do it....if all we are concerned about is making money?

Uh, hate to break it to you, but you weren't around when I was posting on BN, newbie. And I never said anything close to that before, either.
youre right....im a newbie. i only have a couple thousand posts over there too. i dont know what i was thinking.

Do you live in fantasy land?
is that the same fantasy land where i sold tshirts?

ignoring my apples to oranges comment i see....thats probly best.

BN: "riiiiight. you get shown up so try to reverse it on to me. good tactic. except that youre a douche bag."

I'm a douche bag and you're a guy who stalks a douche bag on the Internet. Who's worse?

"its cuz you have to prove it on the field"

Right. And the Yankees proved it ON THE FIELD. My notion that Romero and the other two wouldn't get A-Rod out is speculation, sure. But its less imaginary than Romero coming in and blowing away A-Rod, Sheffield, and Matsui. So, by your own words, for you to criticize Gardenhire is ridiculous. It was all proven on the field. Another one of your arguments that go around in circles.

"fixing every game to make them more entertaining would be a good way to do it. so why not do it"

Actually, your team tried to fix the games once, and it almost bankrupted the sport and ran it out of business. How is fixing it a good business move again?

"is that the same fantasy land where i sold tshirts?"

Actually, BuckeyeNation12 was famous for selling his "Buckeye Nation" T-Shirts. That ain't imaginary. Ask Mili, Sears, Dubs, or anyone else who's been around. I just thought you were the same guy. That just proves how "long" you've been around.

You flat made up that I argued the same point on BN. Now that's, well, I won't say what it is. Got any more fantasy land insults to try and ding me?

Douche's come in a friggin box and in the box is a plastic bottle but since you probably have never been with a girl how the hell would you know. Douche bag for your info is something that was used like 30 years ago!

going around in circles? dude im dizzy just reading that. your "on the field" bullshit doesnt work when it wasnt proven ON THE FIELD that taken nathan out wouldve been the better move. idiot.

<shaking head> How is it different? Hmmmm. Was the poster named Sloopy69 who made the comments? Or maybe Sloopy7. I hear Sloopy99 is a Yankee fan, maybe you got me mixed up with him. Sloopy32 is a real a-hole.

A lot of this was my fault for starting the "Yankees ruined baseball" conversation. Yankees fans will never concede that it's true...Yankees haters will never concede that it isn't.

The only absolute truth in all of this is that Baseball is sliding further from it's perch. DiHard mentioned some of the problems earlier (Expansion diluting talent, strike zone, owners. etc.). Something has got to change because the sport is losing fans.

Sure the Yankees have the highest payroll, by far. But, that sure as heck doesn't guarantee them a thing. I agree that football is light years ahead of baseball in every area. I use baseball as a way to kill time until football.

Back on topic, how nice was it the last 3 years to watch the Yankees not win the world series ? Steinbrenner plays by the rules, it's as easy as that.
I'm an A's fan and the Yankees have dumped us alot in the playoffs.

Now that I think about it , screw baseball.

I'm a die-hard Indians fan so I hate Boston for stealing Manny; hate Philly cuz of Thome's betrayal; feel sorry for Baltimore for being so stupid they wanted Albert Belle... and for decades hated Yankees... well, that may not be past tense... but ya gotta admire Steinbrenner... he is absolutely committed to bringing in a winner... money is no object... and no rules says he can't... you sure wish the Tribe had some of that... and kept Manny, Thome and loyalty to keep Visquel and the likes of Sandy Alomar...

which is where this is going... as long as it's run like a business and without caring how the fans feel, the decline will continue... if there were more owners like Steinbrenner and Cuban that don't need a dime and just do it for the passion then there's hope...
