DB Miles Lockhart (Official Thread)

LOCKHART READY TO COMMIT ON THURSDAY

One of Ohio State’s top remaining cornerback targets is ready to announce his commitment. Four-star Arizona cornerback Miles Lockhart will reveal his college decision on Thursday at 3 p.m., choosing that day in honor of his grandmother’s birthday.

Ever since he received his offer from Ohio State in June of 2022, Lockhart publicly said the Buckeyes were the clear leader in his recruitment. Twenty-four hours from a decision, they’re still the heavy favorite.

Lockhart took his official visit to Ohio State on June 23 and called the visit an “11/10” experience. He didn’t take any other official visits to any other schools.

“I feel like it went great, they covered everything I wanted to,” Lockhart told Eleven Warriors about the official visit. “Obviously, I had been there a few times before so they had mostly shown me everything, but the weekend was a really great time. Coach Walton is always great. He’s really the type of guy you want to be your coach. It was really good seeing him and his wife, it’s always great talking with him.”

From what I've read/heard, he fits really well at the nickel corner spot, but maybe doesn't have the versatility to be an outside man corner. I think that makes him a great fit for the class, as long as at least two of West/Scott/Black are in as well.
I can see that. He's physical, if I were to do a comparison, it would be Shaun Wade.

Couple more crystal balls rolling in. I know it's recruiting and anything can happen, but this is about the strongest lock I've seen in a while.
A Lock-hart if you will. I will see myself out but fans should be excited for this one. I think Miles is very underrated and could end up being my "sleeper" in the BRPT class review. Obviously Scott is a priority at CB but if we miss there (still confident on that front btw), Lockhart and West is a great pair to work with.
