Yes. It appears that he lied. He did not have insider knowledge. The Buckeyes did not expect 4 games. The Buckeyes did not appeal a 4 game penalty and have it reduced.

Sums up my feelings precisely. Dumbass situation that should never have ever been an issue, but probably better for our team and Chase's health long term. Hate that it interfered with an albeit unlikely Heisman campaign, but he was on the pace to likely at least get to New York. I'm sure a national title hunt and being a top NFL pick will be just fine with Chase though. Let's use this shit as fire and keep kicking ass.
