Though inexperienced, I'm very excited about the young talent we have that will start to see more PT, especially with Jalyn. He could be an awesome addition to the line opposite of Bosa, as I'm sure Bosa will see double teams all year now.

To me he seemed to be a lot more explosive than last season and played with more intent. I thought he looked like the best pass rusher not named Bosa yesterday.

Another thought that crossed my mind yesterday while watching the game is that I sure would like to see what Jamal Marcus would look like this year in what I believe would be his Seniir season.....

He was excellent... straight up.

He would start on 98% of teams in CFB. His game has improved significantly. He is now big enough to play inside. I absolutely love when all four DE line up on clear passing downs.

Ive been screaming forever it seems like for our DL to get their hands up in the passing lanes to tip more passes and Jalyn executed it perfectly sat night. playmaker

This guy deserves a ton of credit. Playing his ass off and has become one of the most disruptive defenders on the team. Could start on most other P5 teams with the way he's playing, but still getting after it as a sub. Loved seeing him lay a vicious hit on Hornibrook in the 2nd half.

I'm not suggesting anything about who should start, because I'm the first to admit I know a small fraction of what the coaches know. But a fan could be excused for voicing an opinion that Jalyn Holmes looks like he might be the best Buckeye D-lineman this season.
